BANNER BOARD OF EDUCATION SPECIAL MEETING FOR AUGUST 2ND 2021

BOARD OF EDUCATION

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 31

CANADIAN COUNTY, OKLAHOMA

BANNER PUBLIC SCHOOLS

 

 

As required by Section 311, Title 25 of the Oklahoma Statutes, notice is hereby given that the Board of Education of Elementary School District No. 31 of Canadian County, Oklahoma will hold a SPECIAL MEETING on August 2, 2021 at six o’clock p.m., in the Banner School Cafeteria, Banner Public School, at 2455 N. Banner Road, El Reno, Oklahoma. 

 

AGENDA

 

The following is a list of the business to be conducted by the Board of Education at the aforementioned meeting:

 

Call meeting to order.

 

Roll call.

 

Board to consider last month’s meeting’s minutes with possible action.

 

Communication.

 

PTA Report:  Presentation of 2020/2021 Audit and 2021/2022 Sanctioning Request.

           

Open Issues:

           

  1. Discussion and possible board action regarding the contractual agreement between OSIG and Banner School District for the purpose of determining coverage amounts.

 

  1. Board to consider and take possible action, in the absence of the President and/or Clerk, to appoint an acting President and/or acting Clerk for the School District to execute any and all documents pertaining to the calling of a special election to authorize general obligation bonds.

 

  1. Board to consider and take action on a resolution authorizing the calling and holding of a special election to be held in this School District to authorize the issuance of general obligation bonds.

 

  1. Discussion and possible board action regarding the employment of legal counsel (Mansell, Engle and Cole) regarding property damage insurance claim.

 

  1. Motion to convene in Executive Session to discuss the 2021/2022 temporary employment and temporary employment contract of Gavin Beavers; the 2021/2022 temporary employment  and temporary employment contracts of new support employees; and the 2021/2022 extra duty contract of Alison Bedell pursuant to 25 O.S., Section 307(b)1.

7.         Executive Session Minutes Compliance Statement.

 

8.         Superintendent’s recommendation regarding the 2021/2022 temporary employment and temporary employment contract of Gavin Beavers; the 2021/2022 temporary employment  and temporary employment contracts of new support employees; and the 2021/2022 extra duty contract of Alison Bedell.

 

9.         Discussion and possible board action on the Superintendent’s recommendation regarding the 2021/2022 temporary employment and temporary employment contract of Gavin Beavers; the 2021/2022 temporary employment  and temporary employment contracts of new support employees; and the 2021/2022 extra duty contract of Alison Bedell.

 

10.       Discussion and possible board action on updated 2021/2022 Return to Learn Plan.

 

11.       Discussion and possible board action regarding Banner School District’s Rubric to assist in determining district class size policy with regard to SB783.

 

12.       Discussion and possible board action regarding the 2021/2022 BOE Treasurer’s Certificate and Municipal Order. 

 

13.       Motion to convene in Executive Session to discuss the 2021/2022 student    emergency transfer applications whereas disclosure of information would violate the confidentiality requirements of state law pursuant to 25 O.S., Section 307(B)(7).

 

14.     Motion to return to Open Session.

16.     Superintendent’s recommendation regarding the 2021/2022 student 

emergency transfer applications.

 

17.     Discussion and possible board action regarding the 2021/2022 student                                                          emergency transfer applications.
