BANNER PUBLIC SCHOOLS
As required by Section 311, Title 25 of the Oklahoma Statutes, notice is hereby given that the Board of Education of Banner Elementary School District No. 31 of Canadian County, Oklahoma will hold a REGULAR MEETING on March 22, 2023, at six o’clock p.m., in the Banner School Cafeteria, Banner Public School, located at 2455 N. Banner Road, El Reno, Oklahoma 73036.
The following is a list of the business to be conducted by the Board of Education at the above meeting:
Call meeting to order.
Roll call.
Board to consider February 6, 2023 Special Meeting Minutes and February 13, 2023 Regular Meeting Minutes with possible action.
Communications.
PTA Report.
Open Issues:
1. Presentations by state approved auditing firms for school districts.
2. Discussion and possible board action to hire an auditor.
3. Discussion and possible board action regarding the resignation of Christina Sharp as Special Education Teacher / Special Education Director effective March 17, 2023.
4. Discussion and possible board action to update Banner Public School Residency Policy FD and FD-P.
5. Discussion and possible board action to approve Policy GKF (NEW 2022) -
DISCIPLINARY ACTION FOR MISUSE OF SCHOOL BATHROOMS AND
CHANGING FACILITIES.
6. Discussion and possible board action regarding summer school.
7. Discussion and possible board action regarding the 2023/2024 school calendar.
8. Presentation of Spring Financial Report (State of the District) - Mr. Prior, Superintendent.
9. Discussion and possible board action to approve the payment of a one-time stipend in the amount of $1,000 to be paid out during the 2022-2023 school year for certified employees who have successfully completed LETRS training.

Board to consider the following new encumbrances and change orders with possible action:
a. General Fund New: 183, 184 for a total of $350.00.
b. General Fund Change: 115, 70001-70003, 70005-70010, 70012, 70013, 70015,
70016, 70018-70030, 70034-70036, 70038-70040, 70042, 70111 for an increase of
$13, 370.41.
c. Building Fund New: 14, 15 for a total of $13,000.00.
d. Child Nutrition Fund New: 17 for a total of $1,000.00
