As required by Section 311, Title 25 of the Oklahoma Statutes, notice is hereby given that the Board of Education of Banner Elementary School District No. 31 of Canadian County, Oklahoma will hold a REGULAR MEETING on January 11, 2023 at six o’clock p.m., in the Banner School Cafeteria, Banner Public School, located at 2455 N. Banner Road, El Reno, Oklahoma.  73036.

The following is a list of the business to be conducted by the Board of Education at the above meeting:

Call meeting to Order.

Roll Call.

Approval of Last Month’s Regular Board Meeting Minutes with possible action.

Communication

PTA Report

Open Issues:

1. Discussion and possible board action on any resignations received to date.

2. Possible discussion regarding the Board’s Superintendent search process.

3. Possible consideration and action to begin a contract with OSSBA to assist in the Board’s Superintendent search process.

4. Discussion and possible board action on wording for middle school parties in the handbook.

5. Discussion on potential district growth.

6. Discussion and possible board action regarding Banner School District’s 2023 Section 125 Plan.

         

7.  Presentation of School Board Member Appreciation Certificates.

 

8.  Proposed executive session to review evidence to determine the residency of (parents of minor student) whereby disclosure of any additional information would violate FERPA. 25 O.S. Section 307(B)(5) and (B)(7).                       

 

9.  Vote to convene or not to convene into executive session.

 

10.  Acknowledge return to open session.

 

11.  Executive session minutes compliance announcement.

 

12.  Discussion and possible board action to accept, amend or reject the decision of the residency officer regarding the residency of (parents of minor student).

Board to consider the following new encumbrances and change orders with possible action:

            a. General Change Orders:   9, 93 for an increase of $13,665.21

            b. Building Fund New: 9, 10, 11 for a total of $50,300
