As required by Section 311, Title 25 of the Oklahoma Statutes, notice is hereby given that the Board of Education of Elementary School District No. 31 of Canadian County, Oklahoma will hold a Regular Meeting on October 10, 2022, at six o’clock p.m., in the Banner School Cafeteria, Banner Public School located at 2455 N. Banner Road, El Reno, Oklahoma 73036.

The following is a list of the business to be conducted by the Board of Education at the above meeting:

 

Call meeting to order.

 

Roll call.

 

Motion to consider last month’s meeting’s minutes with possible action.

 

           Communication.

 

           PTA Report.

 

Open Issues

 

1.  Discussion and possible board action to modify travel reimbursement policy.

 

2. Discussion and possible board action on future construction/buildings and/or modular buildings to purchase or lease.

 

3. Discussion and possible board action regarding the 2023 Banner BOE Meeting Calendar.

 

4. Proposed Executive Session to discuss the 2022/2023 employment of a support staff on a temporary contract pursuant to 25 O.S. Section 307(b)(1). 

 

5.  Vote to convene or not to convene into executive session.

 

6.  Acknowledge return to open session.

 

7.  Executive Session Minutes Compliance Statement.

 

8.  Discussion and possible board action regarding the 2022/2023 employment and temporary contract of a support staff.

 

9.  Discussion and possible board action regarding whether to pay to all full-time teachers on regular contracts employed by the District throughout the 2022/2023 school year, and all full-time support employees employed for the school year, a one-time stipend payment in the amount of $2000.00 and all part-time employees employed for the 2022/2023 school year, a one-time stipend payment in the amount of $750.00 with the stipulation that such stipend amount is payment for services rendered during this school year and is not to become part of the continuing contract of any teacher or support employee, and thus, no teacher or support employee re-employed this school year for a subsequent school year shall have any property right to this stipend in any subsequent fiscal year.

Encumbrance Approval:

Discussion and possible board action regarding the following new encumbrances and change orders.

a.   General Fund New - 180 for $500.00

b.   General Fund Change – 60, 97, 70041 for a total of $7,155.51

c.    Child Nutrition change-1 for an increase of $10,482.53

d.    Building Fund New- 6 for $30,000.00
