As required by Section 311, Title 25 of the Oklahoma Statutes, notice is hereby given that the Board of Education of Elementary School District No. 31 of Canadian County, Oklahoma will hold a Regular Meeting on August 8, 2022 at six o’clock p.m., in the Banner School Cafeteria, Banner Public School, at 2455 N. Banner Road, El Reno, Oklahoma, 73036.

The following is a list of the business to be conducted by the Board of Education at the aforementioned meeting:

 

Call meeting to order.

 

Roll call.

 

Discussion and possible board action regarding last month’s meeting’s minutes.

 

 

Communication.

 

PTA Report.

          

Open Issues:

          

1.      Discussion and possible board action in regards to the upcoming election set for August 23, 2022.

 

2.   Discussion and possible board action regarding the 2022/2023 contractual agreement between The Center for Education Law and Banner School District.

 

3.  Discussion and possible board action on the school roof project.

 

         4. Board to discuss and possible action on Banner Re- Roof Project Change 

         Order Number Cont. Mod 1 in the amount of $10,425.

 

         5. Discussion and possible board action for creating a Banner Public School 4H 

          program.

     

         6. Discussion and possible board action to approve an activity account and

         and budget for the 4H program.

 

         7. Board to discuss with possible action child nutrition payment options

          Option A - Raise the Adult Meal prices to $3.00 for breakfast and $6.00 for lunch.

          Option B - Discussion and possible vote to authorize the child nutrition  

          department to bill employee meals to the general fund at $2.26 for breakfast and

          $4.84 for lunch as an employee benefit and maintain these prices for all adult 

          meals.

     

          8. Discussion and possible board action regarding a loan agreement between 

          Banner School Child Nutrition and the Banner School General Fund.

 

          9.     Proposed executive session to discuss the 2022/2023 employment of  

          support employees on temporary contracts and an extra Duty contract for Erin

         Jinkens as 4H sponsor pursuant to 25 O.S., Section 307(b)1.

 

         10. Vote to convene or not to convene into executive session.

 

         11.  Acknowledge  return to Open Session.

 

         12.  Executive Session Minutes Compliance Statement.

 

         13. Discussion and possible board action to employ support employees on  

          temporary contracts.

 

         14. Discussion and possible board action regarding the extra duty contract of

          Erin Jinkens as 4H sponsor.

 

         15. Board to discuss and take possible action on the Superintendent's 

          recommendation to surplus the following items:  chromebooks (4 years or older),

          vacuum cleaners, desks, chairs, science kits, Miscellaneous books, posters, 

           games, Bricks remaining from the construction of the west building and cafeteria,

           older bus tires, used cafeteria tables, CB radio, overhead projectors, ceiling tiles, 

           Floor scrubbers, file cabinets, 2012 Bluebird 71 passenger school bus Vin# 

           1BAKGCPH19F266522.

 

           16. State of the School District (Beginning of the Year) Financial Report-Superintendent.
