As required by Section 311, Title 25 of the Oklahoma Statutes, notice is hereby given that the Board of Education of Banner Elementary School District No. 31 of Canadian County, Oklahoma will hold a REGULAR MEETING on February 14, 2022 at six o’clock p.m., in the Banner School Cafeteria, Banner Public School, located at 2455 N. Banner Road, El Reno, Oklahoma. 73036.

The following is a list of the business to be conducted by the Board of Education at the above meeting.

Call Meeting to Order.

Roll Call.

Approval of Last Month’s Regular Board Meeting Minutes with possible Action.

Communication.

PTA Report.

Open Issues:

1.   Discussion and possible board action on the leasing of one bus from Midwest Transportation for 3 years at a cost of $20,000.00 per year effective July 1, 2022.

2.   Discussion and possible board action regarding the roofing project.

3.   Discussion and possible board action regarding the resignation of Sue Hall as paraprofessional  effective January 21, 2022.

      4.   Discussion and possible board action regarding  a Contract with Union City Police 

      Department to provide Police/Security Services (SRO) during the school day and special  

      School events.

 

      5.   Presentation of the Banner Mid -Year Financial Report by the Superintendent.

              

6.   Proposed executive session to discuss the employment of Samantha Smith, Assistant Principal for the 2022/2023 school year and the employment and contract of a certified teacher and the employment and contract of a support personnel pursuant to 25 O.S., Section 307(B)(1).

7.   Vote to convene or not to convene into executive session.

8.   Acknowledge return to open session.

9.   Executive session minutes compliance announcement.

10.   Discussion and possible board action to renew the employment of Samantha Smith, Assistant Principal for the 2022/2023 school year.

11.   Discussion and possible board action to employ and contract a certified teacher on a temporary contract.

12.   Discussion and possible board action to employ and contract a support personnel on a temporary contract.

13.   Discussion and possible board action regarding the 2022/2023 contractual agreement between Banner School District and ADPC.

14.  Discussion and possible board action to approve Michael Prior as an authorized user for the CARS System through the State Department of Education Child Nutrition Program.

15.   Discussion and possible board action to approve the encumbrance of payment of $240,987.64 to Coppermark as the public adjuster for the Banner Public School insurance roof claim.

  1. General Change: 2, 71, 70067, 70068  Increase of $11,796.66
  2. General New: 188-190,70137, 70138   for a total of $28,481.74
  3. Building Fund New: 5 for a total of   $240,987.64
