UPDATE:  Good afternoon! We were notified this afternoon that a middle school  student has tested positive for COVID today. This student was at school and basketball games yesterday, 01/11/2022, and may have exposed other students in their classes during this time.

Middle school students are currently quarantined so this will not change the date that their quarantine is ending, due to Banner not having school on Monday.

With this most recent exposure, if you choose to switch to the at home quarantine option, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing hleibold@banner.k12.ok.us

Covid procedures for middle school through January 18th:

Good evening, this message is being sent via phone, e-mail and posted on our website if you do not want to listen to this lengthy message.  A response is required.

We were notified this evening that a middle school teacher has tested positive for Covid today.  This teacher was at school last week with mild symptoms and may have exposed our middle schoolers during this time.

Under our new policy, you have the choice to quarantine your student at home for 10 days or you can choose to send them to school as long as they do not have any cover symptoms.  If you choose to keep your student in school, they will be required to wear a mask the full duration of the school day, for their 10 calendar day period.  Please know if your child takes their mask off, they may be required to move to the virtual learning option out of school.  This quarantine period will end January 16.  Your child may return to school on January 18th without restriction.

Please let us know which option you would like for your child by e-mailing Ms. Leibold with your child's name and one of the following:  'HOME QUARANTINE" or "AT SCHOOL QUARANTINE".

Please note that if you choose home quarantine, your child MUST complete all assignments for ever teacher to be counted as present.  Have your child log in to their google classroom tomorrow morning for more information regarding what work they will have to complete for their teachers.
